This year's Alpine Christmas Day Dinner was a great success. Our thanks to everyone who helped make this a wonderful Christmas of giving to others. We're planning on doing it again in 2009 on Christmas Day. The Blessings of the Child Christ be yours in this New Year!

Community Christmas Dinner

“It was like a family gathered for Christmas Dinner” remarked one of the several dozen who were happy to be at the Alpine Community Christmas Day Dinner. Everyone pitched in just like at home, only with a much larger group. Alpine Anglican Church of the Blessed Trinity cooked the food. Turkeys were donated by the local Albertson’s. The SCAIR Learning Center donated some treats. The Alpine Community Center provided a festive location for our meal. Music was provided by http://www.freeteenguitarclass.com/ and Boy Scouts from Troop 105 served beverages and food. Those who came helped set the tables and to clean up after dinner. It was family pitching in to make it a wonderful day.
There are always people who haven’t been invited by friends or family to share in Christmas dinner. For some who came making a big dinner is more than they’re able to manage with health or finance. So we did it together, helping one another, sharing in everything from setting tables to making name tags.
Our thanks to the planners, shoppers, cooks, musicians, servers, and organizers who chose to make a special gift of “family” for this year’s Christmas Day.

The Christmas Day Community Dinner is sponsored as a community service by Alpine Anglican Church of the Blessed Trinity (www.AlpineAnglican.com ) which meets 8:30am Sundays at Alpine Elementary. Father Keith Acker is the pastor and also teaches guitar for www.FreeTeenGuitarClass.com .
